Meat Loaf
What you need
- Lean minced beef 500g.
- Soft breadcrumbs (wholemeal if possible) 1 ½ cups.
- Rolled oats ½ cup.
- Cold water 2 tablespoons.
- Crushed garlic 1 teaspoon.
- Chopped parsley (optional) ¼ cup.
- Dried basil 1 teaspoon (or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil).
- Grated carrot ½ cup.
- Onion 1, finely chopped.
- Egg 1
- Garlic salt 1 teaspoon.
- Curry powder 1 teaspoon.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 40 - 45 minutes
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C .
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl; press into a loaf tin and bake for 20 minutes.
- Cover loosely with foil and cook for a further 20 minutes or until juices run clear when pierced with a knife.
